About
Pascoe aka "The Firebird" is a Philadelphia based artist born and raised in Kingston Jamaica. He channels the vocal talent, magnetic performing, and storytelling abilities of some of his influences, such as James Brown, Sam Cooke, Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye, Whitney Houston, Tina Turner, Kelly Price, Boys II Men, and the list goes on and on. Other influences also include the sounds of Gospel, R&B, and Hip Hop.
Second to music, Pascoe's other passions include martial arts, soccer, and dancing. His mental focus along with his island vibes produce his pure, soulful sound. Pascoe is known for his bold riffs and solid harmonies. However, some of his most compelling moments can be felt when he lets a single note soar, allowing the music to breathe rather than fill the space. His approach shows immense control and maturity as a vocalist. It also reveals his deep connection to the music while reeling the listener into the spiritual journey that is his SONG. And it is with this respect for the SONG, that Pascoe keeps alive the eternal message that “music transcends, brings our senses to the highest, and elevates us to achieve the impossible”—just as griots preserve a culture through oral tradition, and a Firebird continues their ancestry through constant rebirth.
